摘要: Objectives The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that local renal delivery B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) will overcome resistance BNP without systemic hypotension. Background has vasodilating, natriuretic, and renin-inhibiting properties. In overt heart failure (HF), there is development BNP. Methods We defined cardiorenal humoral effects (n = 6) or 7) administration canine (0.01 μg/kg/min) in 2 separate groups dogs with pacing-induced subacute HF complicated by dysfunction. used a commercially available small (3.1-F) bifurcated catheter (FlowMedica Inc., Fremont, California) for direct bilateral infusion into both arteries. Results With at clinically dose (without bolus), urine flow increased, but only trend an increase urinary sodium excretion glomerular filtration rate (GFR). contrast, resulted significant diuresis natriuresis GFR. These diuretic responses were greater compared BNP, associated increased tubules as evident resulting decrease distal reabsorption sodium. Importantly, did not result mean arterial pressure observed Conclusions conclude novel strategy may assistance increasing tubules.
