摘要: This paper concerns an investigation into the behaviour of a layer dense salt solution on floor sloping rectangular pipe in which there is turbulent flow. The various phenomena are observed described qualitatively and by presentation typical concentration profiles. Numerical values obtained experimentally for rates spread edge case where moving entirely direction main stream. rate found to depend mainly slope α Richardson number, defined Ri p = D Δ d cos α/ V 2 , depth pipe, g (ρ −ρ )/ρ ρ density fully mixed discharge ambient In range from 0 0·005 decreases factor about 3 at small slopes. Some discussion given factors determining initial just after leaves slit. Finally, it shown how measurements can be related determination floor.
