摘要: It is well known that IQ an important prognostic variable in the outcome of autistic children. There are, however, very few data available on nonretarded children as adults. We identified 16 such probands from records and followed them up between 11 27 years since discharge a center specializing assessment were 12 males 4 females, average age was 26, mean 92 (range 68–110). Although majority functioning poorly terms occupational-social psychiatric symptoms, surprising number (4) had good might be considered recovered. The severity early behavior poor predictor outcome, but neuropsychologic measures nonverbal problem solving highly correlated with outcomes. results study indicate small percentage can expected to recover substantial degree.
