摘要: OBJECTIVES Acidic pH and high fluoride (F(-)) concentration impair the corrosion resistance of titanium (Ti). Caries-preventive products contain amounts F(-) are applied at low pH. The purpose this study was to evaluate whether in different forms has short-, mid-, long-term effects on growth bacteria Streptococcus mutans. MATERIALS AND METHODS Ti discs with polished surface were treated a rinse containing 0.025% olaflur, gel 1.25% or 1% aqueous solution NaF (pH 4.5), they incubated S mutans for 21 days. Control did not get prophylactic treatment. Protein assay analysis performed regular intervals estimate amount Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) images also taken. RESULTS Bacterial protein quantity became significantly only by 21st day. Fluoride proved be superior no treatment (P < 0.01 P 0.05, respectively). However, showed signs SEM images. CONCLUSION results suggest that use fluoride-containing mouthwashes might best safest oral hygienic choice patients implants. Furthermore, olaflur seems
