Investigating Adherence to Medication in Patients Diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A Cross-Sectional Study in Iran

摘要: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a systemic autoimmune disease with an unknown aetiology. Although there no definite treatment for this using proper prescribed medications, mortality and morbidity ratios could be decreased. The present study attempted to investigate adherence medical in patients suffering from SLE evaluate the related factors which influence order improve patients’ prognoses. In cross-sectional study, 132 who referred rheumatology clinic of Imam Khomeini Hospital (Tehran, Iran) over period 2012-2013 wereexamined questionnaire. applied questionnaire included two parts; first part pertained medication treatments (CQR: compliance rheumatology), second was involved treatments. obtained data were analyzed Chi-Square test processed by SPSS16.0 software.In research, mean drug calculated 72.48%. Among variables age, marital status, salary, education, distance (accessibility), duration, level patient activity, main medications consumed, side effects, only significant association found between lack effects due (p <0.05). One hypothesis regarding cause appropriate studied group hopeof never experiencing effects; however, more investigation needed prove theory.
