摘要: Polyphenols are bioactives claimed to be responsible for some of the health benefits provided by fruit and vegetables. It is currently accepted that bioactivities polyphenols can mostly ascribed their interactions with proteins lipids. Such affect cell oxidant production signaling, explain in part ability promote health. EC modulate redox sensitive signaling by: i) defining extent levels modify function, fate, e.g. regulating enzymes generate superoxide, hydrogen peroxide nitric oxide; or ii) activation transcription factors sensible oxidants. The latter includes regulation nuclear factor E2-related 2 (Nfr2) pathway, which turn synthesis antioxidant defenses, kappa-light-chain-enhancer activated B cells (NF-kB) mediates expression oxidants generating enzymes, as well not involved reactions. In summary, a significant amount data vindicates participation regulated pathways. Progress understanding molecular mechanisms biological actions will help define recommendations terms vegetables healthier amounts necessary provide effects.
