The includes: a carrier configured to be disposed in borehole an earth formation; at least one optical fiber sensor operable communication with the carrier; measurement assembly including electromagnetic signal source transmit first interrogation into and detector receive reflected indicative of parameter response signal; processor automatically scattered signals from sensor, generate distributed scattering data condition analyze changes identify sensor.
