摘要: Eight adult patients without peritonitis maintained on chronic ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) were administered a single oral dose of 320 mg trimethoprim (TMP) and 1600 sulfamethoxazole (SMX) to characterize the pharmacokinetics TMP SMX. Ten blood samples drawn following dose. SMX-active (SMXA) concentrations quantified in serum dialysate. The half-life SMXA determined by model independent methods 33.7 +/- 10.5 h (mean SD) 13.8 2.2 respectively. Total body clearance was 32.8 10.1 ml/min 21.9 6.4 ml/min. CAPD 2.27 0.81 1.72 0.93 average dialysate over 72-hour collection period 0.9 0.1 mg/l 5.3 0.8 A SMX every 48 hours is recommended for with mild moderate systemic infections.
