摘要: Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) microresonators have attracted a lot of interest in the last decades, due to their extraordinary high quality factors and small volume modes. These properties make them particularly suitable for shaping enhancing light-matter interactions, both fundamental physics engineering applications. Important results been achieved areas which range from lasing nonlinear optics, optical communications sensing. A number experiments concerned integrated form ring cavities 3D disk or toroid format. Among all geometries, however, microspheres are simplest three-dimensional WGM resonators: they typically ten hundred micrometers diameter, very often easily fabricated silica glass by simply melting tip an fiber. In present lecture overview recent advances applications micro spherical resonators, bulk bubble format, will be presented, with special focus on biophotonic
