摘要: In this article, we provide the results of experimental studies demonstrating that corneal avascularity is an active process involving production anti-angiogenic factors, which counterbalance pro-angiogenic/lymphangiogenic factors are upregulated during wound healing. We also summarize pertinent published reports regarding neovascularization (NV), lymphangiogenesis and angiogenic/lymphangiogenic privilege. outline clinical causes NV, discuss angiogenic proteins (VEGF bFGF) angiogenesis regulatory proteins. describe role matrix metalloproteinases MMP-2, -7, MT1-MMP, lymphangiogenic Established potential new therapies for treatment discussed.
