摘要: The current generation of space-borne sensors are generating nearly continuous streams massive earth observation datasets. These huge multi-modal increase at astonishing rates, reaching currently several petabytes in many satellite archives. Shortly, high-resolution multispectral images will be available almost once a week and some regions twice per week. However, it is estimated that most datasets existing archives have never been accessed processed outside high-end supercomputing data-center environments. To this end, scalable geospatial platform has designed, developed evaluated for the online real-time harvesting valuable information from big data. core our consists Rasdaman Array Database Management System raster data storage, Open Geospatial Consortium Web Coverage Processing Service querying. WebGIS client based on OpenLayers GeoExt JavaScript libraries, while advanced remote sensing computer vision libraries like GDAL, Oreo Toolbox OpenCV integrated as well. Currently, system fully covering Greece with LANDSAT 8 data, beginning satellite's mission. Datasets stored pre-processed automatically hardware. validated efficient automated processing high resolution particular key geospatial, environmental, agriculture water engineering applications precision agriculture, quality monitoring land cover mapping.
