摘要: Abstract In this chapter, we focus on the assembly, organization, and regulation of axonemal inner dynein arms their role in ciliary/flagellar motility. contrast to outer arms, which are homogeneous, there seven major four minor species arms. Each arm is distinct composition targeted a precise unique location within 96-nm repeat. These conclusions based biochemical ultrastructural analysis Chlamydomonas mutants lacking subsets dyneins. The motility phenotypes these also revealed importance for control size shape bend, features referred as waveform. We review data revealing that second messengers, including calcium cyclic nucleotides, can ciliary by modulation activity. particular, I1/f its conserved phosphorylation pathway includes signals from central pair, radial spoke, network kinases phosphatases physically located axoneme.
