摘要: We report results from a randomized controlled trial designed to evaluate the efficacy of video-based sexual risk reduction intervention and measure assessment reactivity. Patients (N = 1010; 56 % male; 69 % African American) receiving care at sexually transmitted infection (STI) clinic were assigned one four conditions formed by crossing condition (i.e., health vs. general health) with promotion). After completing their baseline assessment, participants received intervention, subsequently returned for follow-up assessments 3, 6, 9, 12 months. Participants in all reduced self-reported behavior, incidence new STIs declined through follow-ups; however, there was no effect or condition. conclude that further will require more intensive interventions, especially STI clinics already provide excellent clinical care.
