Spectrometric inflight measurement of aircraft exhaust emissions: First results of the June 1995 campaign

摘要: A customized Fourier transform infrared spectrometer onboard an aircraft performs in-flight measurements of the jet engine's exhaust emissions. For this purpose instrument is mounted in aircraft's cabin receiving radiation emitted by hot about 1 m downstream from nozzle exit. From measured spectra concentrations and emission indices gas species NO, CO, H2O, CO2 temperature are calculated. The estimated accuracy range 5 to 20%. results reveal high precision acquired data which compared model calculations.
