摘要: Statistics of conserved and reactive scalar concentration in a mixing layer are calculated using Lagrangian particle model coupled to micro-mixing theory for the chemistry. Good agreement is obtained with laboratory experiments temperature statistics thermal layer. For reacting layer, good direct numerical simulations, but enhanced necessary order account approximately effects flow instability experiments. With this mixing, data scalars on edges conditional moment closure, discrepancies remain middle Calculations show that closure modelling, dissipation conditioned can be replaced by its unconditional counterpart negligible error.
