摘要: The purpose of this investigation was to determine whether moderate intensity resistance training (RT) improves glycaemic control in obese, type 2 diabetic men. Eighteen subjects were randomly assigned a 10-week RT program, or non-training group (C). Glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA 1c ), fasting glucose and insulin, insulin 120 minutes (2h) after 75 g oral load, body composition muscular strength endurance measured before the experimental period. In decreased with (p < 0.05) decreases HbA approached significance = 0.057). 2-h did not change either group. Fat free mass (FFM) increased by 3.5 % but unchanged controls. (FM) 6.9 C RT. Percent fat both groups. Muscular 25 52 Changes inversely related changes FFM. These results suggest that is an effective form exercise which modestly lowers levels obese diabetics.
