摘要: The sources of scattering losses in fluorozirconate glasses and fibers are reviewed. Results presented which show that the predominant mechanism responsible for presence fluoride crystals is heterogeneous nucleation. nature origin different nuclei discussed possible ways to eliminate them from assessed. It proposed extreme care be employed processing with particular emphasis on preform fabrication step as this critical design ultra-low loss fibers.
