摘要: Abstract Two analytic methods (Sircar's and the condensation approximation) a numerical technique (regularisation) were used to solve Generalised Adsorption Isotherm (GAI) applied adsorption of Ar at 77 K on two activated carbons. Regularisation was best solution in terms goodness-of-fit original data. Sircar's method regularisation gave solutions that satisfied constraint range energy distribution suggested by calculations potentials model, slit-shaped micropores, but from resulted worse fit The approximation second data, resulting distributions too wide. Results GAI analysis confirm polyvinylidene chloride-based carbon is significantly more microporous than anthracite-based carbon. However, Langmuir local isotherm appears be an inappropriate kernel for both carbons since it gives biased fits
