摘要: Geomagnetic Pc5–6 (1–4 mHz) pulsations during three magnetic storms have been analyzed using ground observations at an array of 5 Indian stations ranging from 0.8° to 25° dip latitudes and two pairs low-latitudes (~20°)—near equator (~4–5°) stations, located ~4 hours the West East this meridian. The are found occur as individual wave packets that characterized by similar spectra all with dominate bands frequencies: ~1.5–2.0 mHz ~2.5–4.0 mHz. Very strong daytime equatorial enhancement intensity has noted. higher is observed near noon while it reduced towards morning evening sectors. polarization both frequency be almost linear, mainly along H-direction. It amplitude D-component decreased decrease in latitude equator. One spectral peaks exclusively station attributed generation/amplification MHD waves electrojet instabilities. mechanism day time long period geomagnetic propagation characteristics discussed.
