摘要: Genetic and molecular studies have shown that the Arabidopsis ABSCISIC ACID-INSENSITIVE3 (ABI3) protein plays a prominent role in control of seed maturation. The ABI3 its orthologues from various other plant species share four domains high sequence identity, including three basic designated as B1, B2 B3. leaky abi3-1 mutation is single amino acid substitution within B3 domain. A new abi3 allele, abi3-7, was generated by mutagenizing seeds. abi3-7 line contains, addition to mutation, point converts residue Ala-458 into Thr domain protein. This Ala absolutely conserved all known orthologues. Abi3-7 seeds display reductions dormancy sensitivity abscisic which are intermediate between those severe abi3-4 abi3-5 mutants. Accumulation distribution At2S1 At2S2 albumin mRNA well AtEm1 AtEm6 late embryogenesis-abundant proteins been analyzed. Both reduced but spatially restricted. more sensitive than AtEm1. However both mRNAs considerably this mutant. Their also differentially affected. These results provide genetic evidence for importance function vivo.
