摘要: RATS eating dry foods drink water when they eat. Teitelbaum and Epstein1 have called this prandial drinking or at mealtime. Their attention was directed to it by the observation that rats recovered from initial aphagia adipsia produced lateral hypothalamic lesions only eat food. That is, are pure drinkers. Unlike normal rat which will continue in absence of food, with is no longer aphagic adipsic not cannot eat, less, more, response direct challenges regulation body depress feeding, such as deprivation, increased serum osmotic pressure, hyperthermia2.
