Catalytic Transformations of Ethanol for Biorefineries

摘要: Brazil and the USA are major bioethanol producers in world, main application of this alcohol is as fuel. Since Brazilian ethanol cheapest there a crescent interest its use building block for biorefineries. Bioethanol can be used direct production drop-in chemicals, such ethylene, propylene, 1,3-butadiene larger hydrocarbons, well oxygenated molecules, 1-butanol, ethyl acetate, acetaldehyde, acetic acid. In critical review, development heterogeneous catalysts conversion into these commodity chemicals will discussed.
