摘要: The inhibition of localized corrosion carbon steel in caustic, high-level radioactive waste solutions was studied using cyclic potentiodynamic polarization scans supplemented by partially immersed coupon tests. electrochemical tests provided a rapid and accurate means determining the relationship between minimum inhibitor requirements concentration aggressive anions this system. Nitrate, sulfate, chloride, fluoride were identified as anions; however, no synergistic effects observed these anions. This observation may have important theoretical implications because it tends to contradict behavior predicted existing theories for corrosion.
