摘要: ELL family transcription factors activate the overall rate of RNA polymerase II (Pol II) elongation by binding directly to Pol and suppressing its tendency pause. In metazoa, regulates as part a large multisubunit complex referred Super Elongation Complex (SEC), which includes P-TEFb EAF, AF9 or ENL, an AFF protein. Although orthologs EAF have been identified in lower eukaryotes including Schizosaccharomyces pombe, it has unclear whether SEC-like complexes function eukaryotes. this report, we describe isolation from S. pombe ELL-containing with features rudimentary SEC. This Ell1, Eaf1, previously uncharacterized protein designate Ell1 1 (Ebp1), is distantly related metazoan members. Like SEC, appears broadly transcription. Interestingly, particularly important role regulating genes involved cell separation.
