摘要: Angiogenesis, the formation of new vessels, has been demonstrated to be a potent and independent indicator prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer patients. The extent differentiation tumor vessels may affect access peripheral white cells egress or invasion cells. This not assessed relation microvessel density other variables marker vascular remodeling. LH39 is monoclonal antibody recognizing an epitope located at lamina lucida mature small veins capillaries but newly formed vessels. We examined ratio mature:immature 81 carcinomas correlated maturation index (VMI) different clinicopathological including angiogenesis. Mature were defined by staining with antibodies both CD31, using double immunohistochemistry, whereas immature stained only for CD31. VMI was as percentage fraction (LH39 positive)/total number (CD31 positive). median 46% (range, 15-90%). There significant inverse correlation between high low thymidine phosphorylase expression (P = 0.0001), nuclear p53 negativity 0.01), angiogenesis well absence nodal involvement 0.01). Low associated significantly better outcome 0.0001 P 0.02, respectively). These findings show that there wide variation vasculature carcinomas, gives information on degree active remodeling independently from quantitation.
