摘要: University of Saskatchewan researchers have developed a biocomposite material which includes tailings from flour production. The inclusion reduces the overall cost biocomposite. physical characteristics samples made various compositions were compared, and used to optimize composition Water absorption, durometer hardness, impact resistance biocomposites studied using American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) guidelines. Data indicated that containing approximately 40% (by mass) one quarter polyethylene demonstrated best combination desirable characteristics.
