摘要: Summary This study investigated the effect of number meshes in protective bag circumference on size selectivity a demersal trawl codend. Circumferences 50-mesh (NMPB50) and 215-mesh (NMPB215) bags rigged 44 mm diamond mesh codend were tested. Fishing experiments carried out commercial trawler ‘Hapuloglu’ between 20 27 August 2010, using modified net. Data collected covered method analyzed logistic equation with maximum likelihood method. Mean selection curves compared between-haul variations model. The mean L50 values NMPB50 NMPB215 were, respectively, 16.4 ± 0.1 mm 16.5 ± 0.1 mm carapace length for deep-water rose shrimp, 10.7 ± 0.1 cm 12.2 ± 0.1 cm total hake, 16.0 ± 0.1 cm 16.7 ± 0.1 cm horse mackerel. In conclusion, increasing around resulted 14% 4% increase hake mackerel, respectively; however, these differences not statically significant (P > 0.05).
