Structure design and multi-objective optimization of a novel NPR bumper system

摘要: Abstract The aim of this paper is to explore a novel bumper system consisting negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) beam and NPR absorber. designed improve the frontal crashworthiness vehicle, which composed large number inner hexagonal cellular structures through periodic arrangement. Meanwhile, absorber, filled in space between skin, contrived protect pedestrian's lower leg collision accident. Based on this, an optimization model constructed multi-objective algorithms are used search optimal structural parameters. simulation results show that comprehensive performance index optimized by electronic-search algorithm (ESA) has been effectively improved, it performs excellent performances both pedestrian protection vehicle crashworthiness.
