摘要: The potential applications for cold plasma in medicine are extensive, from microbial inactivation and induction of apoptosis cancer cells to stimulating wound healing enhancing the blood coagulation cascade. safe bio-medical application subsequent effect on complex biological pathways requires precision a distinct understanding how physiological redox chemistry is manipulated. Chemical modification biomolecules such as carbohydrates, proteins, lipids treated with have been characterized, however, context alterations these molecules cell behaviour or vivo functionality has not determined. Thus, this study examines cytotoxic mutagenic effects plasma-treated vitro using CHO-K1 Galleria mellonella larvae. Specifically, albumin, glucose, cholesterol, arachidonic acid were chosen representative biomolecules, established involvement diverse bioprocesses including; cellular respiration, intracellular transport, signalling membrane structure. Long- short-term depended strongly molecule type treatment milieu indicating impact chemical physical modifications downstream pathways. Importantly, absence toxicity did always correlate longer-term effects, need comprehensively assess ongoing applications.
