Impact of water drawdown and rewetting on sediment nutrient-dynamics in a constructed delta-lake system (Oostvaardersplassen, The Netherlands): A mesocosm study

摘要: Abstract In densely populated delta regions, many freshwater shallow lakes constructed on top of marine deposits and their water tables are maintained at a fixed level. Reintroducing table fluctuations in such will stimulate emergent vegetation development, but potential alterations nutrient fluxes still largely unknown. mesocosm study, we investigated element between sediment pore-water during drawdown over the sediment-water interface subsequent rewetting using sediments from Oostvaardersplassen (The Netherlands).
