Control of the gradient-index distribution in leached sol-gel bodies

摘要: A new technique is presented for controlling the shape and increasing maximum index change of radial gradient-index profiles formed in sol-gel bodies. This accomplished by modifying relative rates reactions responsible creation gradient. By altering manner which leaching action arrested, can be maximized a given to double that previous technique. Detailed composition analysis data reveals dopant diffusion precipitation are dominant factors influencing observed results.
