摘要: Pavements are subject to environmental conditions, which affect the performance of both flexible and rigid pavements. The current pavement design system in Egypt relies primarily on 1993 American Association State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Design Guide. method has many limitations. One serious limitations is empirical drainage layer coefficients. These coefficients addition seasonal variation roadbed resilient modulus only consideration method. newly AASHTO released production version Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Guide (MEPDG) called AASHTOWare ME was developed overcome inherent Unlike method, considers moisture temperature mechanical properties layers. Thus, main objective this study develop climatic data facilitate implementation its influence performance. required hourly air temperature, precipitation, wind speed, sunshine relative humidity were collected for 16 locations distributed all over four years. quality checked verified transformed format by software. A typical section simulated using at different predicted analyzed. indicators rutting, alligator fatigue cracking, longitudinal thermal International Roughness Index (IRI). Results showed that significantly affected change data. As expected, Egypt, most significant rutting Asphalt layer.
