摘要: Abstract High-resolution reanalysis data of Sea Surface Temperature (SST) show pronounced seasonal variations in oceanic fronts the coastal area Northern South China (NSCS), which are accompanied by seasonality monsoons. The NSCS cover a wider sea winter than summer as strong monsoons progress. Nonetheless, average SST gradients frontal both seasons comparable. response surface wind to perturbations attributed has also been investigated observation satellite borne scatterometers and simulation Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) model. Both observations simulations WRF model apparent positive linear SST-wind coupling for most months 2008, indicating local influence on NSCS. coefficients larger those observed at mid-latitude oceans but smaller near equatorial oceans. It is found that topography could be more important front southern end Taiwan Strait winter. transition monsoon affect
