摘要: During the last decade, there has been a remarkable and unexplained increase in prevalence of asthma. These studies were conducted to investigate role dermal exposure triclosan, an endocrine-disrupting compound, on hypersensitivity response ovalbumin (OVA) murine model Triclosan had widespread use general population as antibacterial antifungal agent is commonly found consumer products such soaps, deodorants, toothpastes, shaving creams, mouthwashes, cleaning supplies. For these studies, BALB/c mice exposed dermally concentrations triclosan ranging from 0.75 3% (0.375-1.5mg/mouse/day) for 28 consecutive days. Concordantly, ip injected with OVA (0.9 µg) aluminum hydroxide (0.5mg) days 1 10 challenged (125 by pharyngeal aspiration 19 27. Compared animals alone, increased spleen weights, OVA-specific IgE, interleukin-13 cytokine levels, numbers lung eosinophils demonstrated when coexposed triclosan. Statistically significant increases nonspecific airway hyperreactivity observed all groups compared vehicle controls. In alone was not be allergenic; however, coexposure known allergen resulted enhancement that allergen, suggesting may augment allergic responses other environmental allergens.
