摘要: This letter describes classes of tunable microfluidic fiber (μFF) devices that use specially designed long-period gratings in which the phase matching condition is satisfied over a wide spectral range. Dynamic tuning achieved by electrowetting-based pumping plugs back and forth gratings. As specific examples, we demonstrate dynamically broadband attenuators filters with adjustable profiles using fluids different refractive indices. These have attractive features include in-fiber design polarization-independent behavior together low-power, nonmechanical, fully reversible, latchable tuning.
