Subspace-based estimation of symbolic periodicities

摘要: In this work, we propose a novel subspace-based estimator of periodicities in symbolic sequences. The exploits the harmonic structure naturally occurring sequences and iteratively forms estimate using MUSIC-like formulation. allows for alphabets different sizes, but is here illustrated both simulated real DNA measurements, showing notable performance gain as compared to other common estimators.
