摘要: We propose a new class of distinguishers for differential side-channel analysis based on nonparametric statistics. As an example we use Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. present comparative study several statistical methods applied to real power measurements from AES prototype chip demonstrate the effectiveness proposed method. Our shows that coefficient outperforms all other univariate tests under consideration. In particular note Pearson's requires about three times more samples reliable key recovery than method propose. Further, multivariate with profiling step which are commonly assumed be most powerful attacks not significantly efficient at extraction attack results indicate models linear in transition count optimal attacked chip.
