摘要: Regenerative Medicine, a recent new medical domain, aims to develop therapies through the stimulation of natural regenerative processes also in human beings. In this field, Erythropoietin (EPO) represents significant subject research. Several studies allow assertion that EPO, different concentrations, has protective effects mainly on central nervous system, cardiovascular system and renal tissue. This action is carried out one few activities beings: angiogenesis. mechanism, which involves endothelial stem cells VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor), been experimentally demonstrated with Recombinant erythropoietin (rHuEPO) Darbepoetin, long-acting EPO derivate. Furthermore, demonstration cardiac production Fugu rubripes Zebrafish led cardiologists “discover” Erythropoietin, postulating hypothetical role treatment disease for hormone. some experimental evidence demonstrates can be reason considered an important element research Medicine put network drugs able regenerate tissues organs.
