摘要: The ability to culture pathogenic organisms substantially enhances the quest for fundamental knowledge and development of vaccines drugs. Thus, elaboration a protocol in vitro cultivation erythrocytic stages Plasmodium falciparum revolutionized research on this important parasite. However, P. vivax, most widely distributed difficult treat malaria parasite, strict preference reticulocytes thwarts efforts maintain it vitro. Here, we define conditions under which cynomolgi can be adapted long term yield parasites that share many morphological phenotypic features vivax.
