摘要: We report the detection and localization of X-ray-emitting ejecta in middle-aged Galactic supernova remnant Puppis A using five observations with Suzaku X-Ray Imaging Spectrometer to survey eastern middle portions remnant. roughly 3' × 5', double-peaked region north center is found be highly enriched Si other elements relative rest The X-ray-fitted abundances are otherwise well below solar values. While ejecta-enhanced regions show some variation element abundances, there little evidence for a very strong enhancement one over others imaged portion remnant, except possibly O Ne remnant's south center. There no general spatial correlation between compact [O III]-emitting knots seen optically abundance enhancements X-rays, although they located same vicinity. map fitted column density shows variations across that echo earlier X-ray spectral hardness maps. ionization age (as single-temperature models) sharply higher ridge behind northeast-east boundary probably related molecular cloud interaction along boundary. temperature map, by comparison, relatively weak variations.
