摘要: Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) provides an important understanding learning, but its implications for teachers are often unclear or limited and could be further explored. We use conceptual analysis to sharpen the ZPD as a teaching tool, illustrated with examples from critical thinking in zoology. Our conclusions following: should assign tasks that students cannot do on their own, which they can assistance; provide just enough assistance so learn complete independently and, finally, increase learning gains by providing environments enable harder than would otherwise possible assigning hardest assistance. This sharp useful tool supporting across all curriculum areas.
