摘要: Abstract Glycoproteins of influenza virus strains were incorporated into liposomes by a dialysis procedure, using octylglucoside as detergent. Liposomes containing either the cleaved or uncleaved hemagglutinin tested for fusion activity with cellular membranes. Electron microscopic examination well microinjection studies revealed that could fuse cell In contrast, merely adsorbed to surface and occurred only after treatment trypsin. Native particles be shown receptors virus. From these results known correlation existing between cleavage infectivity virus, it is suggested may an important step in penetration nucleocapsid host cells.
