A study of the crystallization kinetics of Ge20Te80 chalcogenide glass

摘要: A bulk Ge20Te80 glass was prepared using a melt-quench technique. The crystallization mechanism studied differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction. DSC performed at different heating rates under non-isothermal conditions. From the heating-rate dependence of temperature transition, Tg, peak crystallization, Tp, average value activation energy for Eg, Ec, were calculated glass. examined in terms recent analyses developed use results indicate that glassy has three-dimensional growth, order mechanism, n, is 3.5±0.1. values Eg Ec are 223.3±5.1 134.9±3.6 kJ mol-1, respectively.
