Proton MR spectroscopy in the diagnosis and differentiation of encephalitis from other mimicking lesions.

摘要: In this study, proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRS) findings of encephalitis were reported. For comparison, other lesions mimicking on conventional (MR) imaging included in the study. These consisted acute infarctions and low grade infiltrative gliomas. The 1H MRS gliomas almost same whereas revealed high lactate levels differentiating disorder from two pathologies. differentiation based MR could reliably made with short time follow up examinations where tend to grow contrast which showed regression.
