摘要: Abstract This paper develops a method to analyze municipal solid waste management systems (MSWMS) that integrates environmental and economic indicators using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Costing (LCC). The was tested in the city of Sorocaba, Brazil, medium size municipality typical many developing countries. Environmental impacts were analyzed considering system expansion, which combined aspects primary production recycling processes with MSWMS. analysis included operating investment costs externalities, thus enabling total society. An integrated revealed most significant reductions occurred scenarios higher rates reuse dry through (70%), lowered these by up 50% when compared current scenario. performance indicated two highest goals greater transport efficiency more composting yielded best results, reducing social 31% 33%, respectively.
