摘要: Studying large mammal species in tropical forests is a conservation challenge with species’ behavior and ecology often increasing the probability of non-detection during surveys. Consequently, knowledge distribution, status, natural history many Southeast Asia limited. I developed occupancy models from camera-trapping data, thereby accounting for imperfect detection at sampling sites, to clarify status habitat requirements four globally threatened or near mammals (banteng Bos javanicus, gaur gaurus, dhole Cuon alpinus, leopard Panthera pardus) Mondulkiri Protected Forest, eastern Cambodia. Camera traps were operational >3500 trap nights 202 photographic encounters study species. Model averaged estimates between 5 percent (leopard) 140 (gaur) higher than naive (i.e., proportion camera-trap sites recorded from) thus highlighting importance detectability recommend use an framework when using data ecology, preferences poorly known elusive The results highlight mixed deciduous semi-evergreen forest wild cattle Cambodia emphasize that these habitats must be considered planning across Lower Mekong Dry Forest Ecoregion. karsikSaGMBIRbePTfnikstVfnak;FMenAknugeRBtMbn;RtUBicKWCakarrGPirkSRbQmnwgbBaðakgVHxatCamYynwgGt_crik nigeGkULUsIurbs;RbePTstVCajwkjab;CYybegaInnUvPaBeCOCak; enAknugGMLugeBleFVIkar GegatEdlmin )aneXIjpÞal;. ehtudUecnHehIykaryl;dwgGMBIr)ay ssanPaB nigRbvtþienAknugFmµCati rbs;RbePTfnik stVfnak;FMCaeRcInenAknugGasIuGeKnyKwkMBugmankarxVHxat. eyIg)anGPivDAnUvKMrUen vtþmanrbs;stVBI Tinnn½yRbmUledaykardak;m:asIunftsV½yRbvtþi ehtudUcenaHkarKNnaPaBxVHxat enkareXIjedaypÞal; enAETItaMgsMNak edIm,IbgðajeGayc,as;GMBIssanPaB nigtMrUvTICMrikenbYn RbePTfnikstVfnak;FMEdlRtUv )ankt;RtaedayGnusBaOaGnþrCati IUCN¦TenSag javanicus xÞIg gaurus EqaeRB alpinus xoarxin pardus¦ enAknugeRBkarBarmNÐlKirI PaKxag ekIten RbeTskm
