摘要: The use of cytokines for therapeutic purposes is limited by their high cost and toxicity. Nevertheless, the emergence extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR TB), which chemotherapy ineffective, has again made cytokine-based therapy attractive as one last available options. results clinical trials treating pulmonary with have not been encouraging, making it clear that strategies utilizing a single cytokine are inadequate. To develop effective XDR TB therapies, more basic research will be needed to achieve better understanding how promote successful immune response. We only investigate already known participate in tuberculosis, but also role other chemokines may enhance both mycobacterial killing activity effector cells restriction bacterial intracellular multiplication. There several patents involving use, hope stimulating system variety infectious diseases, including tuberculosis. validity these needs reassessed from standpoint, new applications concerning potentially useful treatment should encouraged.
