摘要: The discrete absorption spectrum of ammonia has been photographed from 2300 to 850A. experimental results other workers in the long wave portion are confirmed, and much new data at shorter wavelengths found. bands down 1665A all diffuse because predissociation. Below 1665 very sharp show rotational fine structure which is partly resolved. True continuous (in distinction that produced by pressure broadening) does not begin until about 1200A. At 1150A below so strong no more could be measured accurately. Sharp exist, however, least as far 1085A, first ionization potential should 11.3 volts. classified four ${v}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ progressions fall different electronic states, same type. All come $v=0$ normal state. Only one fundamental frequency appears excited states.
