摘要: Abstract An investigation was carried out to contrast cellular kinetics of Chinese hamster cells in exponential and plateau periods growth, because the possibility that period may constitute a better model tumor cell populations than do logarithmically growing cultures. The rates synthesis (per cell) RNA protein were independent number. On other hand, rate DNA closely coupled growth culture. constant during but dropped 10 per cent its former value just before number reached maximum, indicating large proportion G1-like part cycle. Those which continued synthesize went on divide. newly born replaced dead had lysed. Thus remained stationary. cycle reproducing found be characterized by an extended G2 highly variable S phase. M did not appear changed greatly G1 could measured. similarities between renewal system are pointed out.
