摘要: Food intake can be increased by learning to anticipate the omission of subsequent meals. We present here a new theory that such anticipatory eating depends on an associative process instrumental reinforcement nutritional repletion occurs when access food is restored. Our evidence over last decade from smooth-brained omnivore has been after deprivation rewards even those reinforced ingestive responses occur long before physiological signals renewed assimilation. Effects consumed self-deprivation might therefore reward extra in human beings, through brain mechanisms could operate outside awareness. That would have implications for efforts reduce body weight. This mechanism contributing failure dietary component interventions obesity within controlled trials management or prevention disorders as hypertension, atherosclerosis and type 2 diabetes.
